The Customer brought the desk with
them from California to Cary, NC. I
designed and built the Wall Unit and Wainscot to match the desk to complete
their
home office.
Wet Bar
This wet bar was built into a small
alcove in a family room. It matches a
built-in home entertainment center
and fireplace mantel on the opposite
wall. All the cabinets are made from
Ash. All the drawers are solid Maple,
dove tailed on all four corners. Lights
inside the cabinets and under the
upper cabinets.

Contemporary Cherry Wet Bar
This unique bar was designed for a
customer
that loves to entertain. All the wood work is
Cherry with black accents. The layered
fluted columns are painted silver. The glass in
the window and cabinets are fluted. The inside of
the bar houses a icemaker, wine cooler and sink.

Mahogany Wet Bar
Mahogany wet bar with beveled glass doors.
Each drawer front and door is edged in a black bead.
Contemporary Reception Desk
No straight edges on this one! This
is Truly a one of a Kind, built for a Designer.
Bathroom Vanity
This Master Bathroom Vanity is over 9 feet
long. Double Sinks and make up area. Three
tall medicine cabinets and two large mirrors.
The cabinets are built in Maple and painted
white, with the interior finished natural.
All the drawers are solid Maple, dove
tailed on all four corners with Blum
full extension slides.
Ultra Contemporary Table
This ultra contemporary table was designed by a Designer and the building was done by a team of builders. Some of the different species of veneers used in the top are Maple, Curly Maple, Birdseye Maple, Purple Heart, Lace Wood, Anigre and Ebony. Each of the designs in the top was outlined by an 1/8" Ebony border. I did a full scale drawing of each piece and had the veneers laser cut by a company in Pennsylvania for accuracy.
After the top was laid up, each species of
veneer was taped off and a vibrant translucent aniline dye
was applied. Twenty Eight coats of hand rubbed lacquer was then applied
Children's Playroom
Lots of cabinets for this playroom. We kept the cabinets themselves pretty traditional so the room Decor could be changed as the children grew without having to change cabinetry. It's always fun to do kids rooms, but remember, kids grow up and their taste change. (They may love what you pick out today, but next year who knows)
Company Logo
The Company Logo is made from
Mahogany
with granite for the background. The granite matches
the reception desk top and the
Mahogany matches the furniture.
Display Curio
Dimensions: 101" w x 84" t x 19" d
This Maple Display Wall Unit was designed to sit between
two doorways. Each end is angled to allow for easy
traffic flow from each adjoining room. Lower section houses the stereo
equipment and speakers.

Home Office Computer Work Station
This home office was designed with very limited space to
work with. To the left of the desk is a doorway and to the right was a
window. The desk is approx. 72" x 96" 60" x 80"t.
Materials: Curly Red Oak
Desk top is a laminate with solid Oak edging. All
drawers are solid Maple and dove tailed.

Contemporary
Chest
Dimensions: 48"w x 42"t
Materials: Wormy Maple
Finish: Clear Satin Lacquer
This design for the contemporary
chest was inspired by making
small band saw jewelry boxes.
Even though it appears to only
have two drawers, once you open
it,
you find a total of 5 different
drawers
of various sizes. Each drawer box is
made of 5/8" solid Maple, dove
tailed
on all four corners. They all roll out
on Blum under mount full extension
slides.
The front face frame and drawer
fronts are cut from the same slab
of wood so the grain flows through
the entire front of the chest.
The free form handles were hand
selected from different stock but
care was taken to get certain grain
patterns to match to appear that they
also flow through the entire front of
the chest.
